Ready

Tick tick
time counted on the clock
drown it out
sinking away
lost pictures
mouthed names
hazy memories rampant through my brain
I don't want to wait
ripping at my disillusioned  eyes
now and again
less than I was wishing for
tell me you see
more good memories
the hugs and kisses you promised me
quiescence and complacent
the silence in between
waiting on a mystery
